Let’s get to the bottom of shine and strobe look.

The beautiful amalgamation of the pop metallic shine with the creamy shimmer of the highlight is something that is winning hearts all over. To celebrate the festive season, Lakme had collaborated with ace couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee and had come up with their strobe and shine look. The new mommy Kareena Kapoor had aced the look of the beguile begum with her metallic dreamy look. The trend has now taken the centre stage in fashion shows and can now be achieved with Lakme’s new range of products. Before the new trends of fashion take over the market, let’s give a one last ode to the great trend of minimalism. You can get the perfect look by closely following the steps.

Prep your skin with a good quality serum. The key to a brilliantly done make up is looking natural. So it is very important to set the base for the make-up. Prepare your skin with a good primer and ensure that your skin is hydrated and moisturised. You can choose your choice of primer here.

Then comes the big ‘f’, the most important of all – foundation. Needless to say the purpose of a foundation is not making the wearer look ashy, so ensure that you use the colour of the foundation which matches the colour of your complexion. There is no alternative to achieving a perfectly creamy and flawless even tone for the make up to set on your face and look runway ready. Choose the pigment closest to your tone here:

Introduce some graphic shimmer on your eyelids with a neutral coloured base coat. Follow up your eye shadow with muted browns and shimmery gold. Make sure you don’t forget to highlight underneath your brows and the corner of your eyes. Finish off your eyes with metallic shade liner. Don’t feel too shy to try on metallic teal and emerald liners. The golden eye shadow will beautifully compliment the liner. Buy here

The look depends on your lip shade. The idea is to impart the gorgeous golden glow, and keep the lips almost neutral or peachy. Your puckers should have a light pink or peachy lip colour which does not over impose the subtle golden glow of your overall face. Finish of your look by following up your peachy lip shade with a coat of clear gloss, or opt for a peachy metallic lip gloss. Find your ideal shade at
